Summary

Sometimes children (or adults) complain of reading a page or a story yet not remembering what they read. They comprehended the words, but not the meaning of all the words. Similarly, the Church can perform the rituals that the Lord commands, but not really comprehend the meaning of the ritual. The apostle Paul rebukes the church at Corinth for conducting the Lord's Supper, but not REALLY participating in it. Their understanding was not the Lord's understanding. Do we really eat the Lord's Supper when we conduct the ritual?
